eToro Expands Investment Portfolio with Dubai Financial Market Stocks

eToro has enhanced its platform by partnering with the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) in an agreement that allows the fintech firm’s users to access stocks of some of the companies listed on the DFM. According to the firm, this move offers users the opportunity to tap into one of the Middle East’s financial markets.

Diversifying Investment Portfolios

According to eToro, the integration of DFM stocks into its platform provides users with access to 10 companies. They operate across a wide range of sectors, including real estate, banking, utilities, logistics, and transport.

Among the top stocks now available are major players such as Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, Emaar Properties, and Dubai Islamic Bank. Collectively, these companies reportedly have a market capitalization exceeding USD 124 billion, positioning them as key assets within the regional market.

Commenting about the partnership, Jason Hughes, the Senior Executive Officer at eToro Middle East, mentioned: “On eToro, users can invest in 20 stock exchanges, gaining access to global and emerging markets. The geographical breadth of our stock offering aims to address the unique needs and preferences of our users who wish to invest in foreign equities as well as their home market.”

“By adding this initial selection of DFM stocks, we aim to support the investment needs of our UAE investors as we continue to develop tailored solutions for the region,” shared Hughes. “We are grateful for the collaboration with DFM and look forward to providing investors worldwide with access to participate in the UAE’s growth story.”

Arqaam Capital, a Dubai-based specialist in emerging markets, facilitated the inclusion of DFM stocks in eToro.

Khalifa Rabba, DFM’s Chief Operating Officer, commented, “The addition of DFM-listed stocks to the eToro platform aligns with our mission to promote the growth and development of our financial market. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that drive this growth and provide global investors with seamless access to robust investment opportunities in Dubai.”

Last month, eToro expanded its UK stock offerings in collaboration with the London Stock Exchange. According to the company, this partnership could double the number of LSE-listed shares available to eToro’s users, including its registered British investors.
